Give your agent safe access to GitHub
Agents get dramatically more useful with your repos in reach: reading code to answer questions, watching issues, drafting changes. The catch has always been the credential — a personal token pasted somewhere it should not be.
Sokko makes it first-class. Install the Sokko GitHub App for your organization once, pick which repositories it can see, and grant access to individual agents from their Integrations tab. The token reaches the agent securely and never touches your code.
What the GitHub connection gives you
One install, many agents
Connect GitHub for the whole organization in a couple of clicks. After that, each agent gets repo access individually, only when you grant it.
You choose the repositories
The app sees only the repos you select during install. An agent with GitHub access still cannot reach anything you left out.
Tokens handled for you
No personal access token pasted into a config. Credentials are delivered to the agent securely and are short-lived by design.
An off switch that works
Revoke a single agent from its Integrations tab, or disconnect the whole organization. Tokens are short-lived by design, so revoked access lapses within the hour at most.
Connect GitHub in three steps
Install the app
From dashboard settings, choose Connect GitHub. GitHub asks which organization and repositories to allow; pick the narrowest set that works.
Grant an agent access
Open the agent's Integrations tab and enable GitHub. That agent, and only that agent, can now work with the allowed repos.
Put it to work
Ask it about the codebase, have it triage the issue backlog, or let a coding-capable agent draft changes for human review.
What people connect GitHub for
A codebase answerer
New teammates ask the agent where things live and why, and get answers grounded in the actual code instead of tribal memory.
Issue and PR triage
Ask it to sweep the issue queue: it labels, summarizes and flags the ones that smell urgent before a human reads them.
Docs that track the code
After a release, ask it to draft the changelog entries and doc updates, filed as suggestions for human review.
Questions people ask
Which agents can use the GitHub connection?
Any agent in your organization can be granted access from its Integrations tab once the app is installed. Grant it only to agents that need repos.
Does the agent get my personal GitHub account?
No. Access comes through the Sokko GitHub App with the repositories you selected, not through your personal credentials.
Can I limit which repos an agent sees?
Yes, at install time you choose which repositories the app can access, and you can change that selection on GitHub at any time.
How do I cut access off?
Disable GitHub on the agent, or disconnect the organization from dashboard settings. Either ends access immediately.
