Change what your agent says

Moved shop, new opening hours, new prices? Here is where each fact lives, so every agent says the new thing.

Your agents learn about your business from more than one place. When a fact changes, update it where that agent reads it. This page shows you the three places, which agents read each one, and what to do first.

The three places a fact can live

PlaceWho reads it
The Company pageEvery Hermes and OpenClaw agent, whenever it talks about your business. A custom agent: only the facts the builder copied into its instructions when it built the agent.
The agent's own filesThat one agent, and nobody else.
Your website, booking tool or appAgents that have a live tool for it, such as a connected app or the built-in browser.

The Company page

Open Company in the dashboard. What you save there is the one description every agent shares: what you do, where you are, who your customers are, your hours and anything else worth knowing. There is no separate field for an address or for opening hours: type your address in About, and your hours in Anything else.

  • Hermes and OpenClaw look it up whenever they talk about your business. Save, and the next answer uses the new facts.
  • Custom agents, the ones you made with Build with AI: the builder reads the Company page while it builds, when Use company context is on under Builder knowledge. It writes those facts into the agent's instructions. A later change on the Company page does not reach a custom agent until you ask the builder to rebuild it and you publish. An agent deployed from your own code reads the Company page only if your code asks for it.

The agent's own files

Each agent also keeps notes of its own. Nobody else reads them.

  • Hermes and OpenClaw show the main ones in the agent's Persona tab: who the agent is, what it knows about you, and the notes it keeps between conversations. You can edit every file there in place. For a Hermes agent made at signup, the answers you gave then live here too. An agent can also keep facts in other notes or skills the Persona tab does not show.
  • Custom agents keep their facts in their instructions and code. You change them in Build with AI and publish a new version, or in your own repository and deploy again.

Your website, booking tool or other apps

Some agents look things up instead of remembering them: your website through the built-in browser, your calendar or shop through a connected app. Those agents say whatever that source says right now. Fix the source, and the next answer is right.

Changed your address, hours or prices? Do this first

Update the Company page

Open Company, change the fact, and save. Your address goes in About, your opening hours in Anything else. Every Hermes and OpenClaw agent uses the new text whenever it next talks about your business.

Check each agent's Persona tab

Open each Hermes or OpenClaw agent and its Persona tab. Look for the old fact in its files and replace it. The notes an agent wrote for itself can still carry the old address, even after the Company page is right. An agent can also keep facts in other notes or skills the Persona tab does not show. If it still says the old thing after this step, tell it in chat that the fact changed and ask it to update its own notes.

Tell the builder, for custom agents

Open Build with AI, pick the agent, and tell the builder what changed. Test it, then publish. Turn on Use company context so future builds start from the Company page.

Fix the source your agents look up

If an agent reads your website, your booking page or a connected app, change the fact there too. Then ask the agent to look it up again.

Ask each agent the way a customer would

"Where are you located?" "What time do you open on Saturday?" The answer you get is the answer your customers get. If one agent is still wrong, go back to the place that agent reads.

An agent said "done", but another agent still says the old thing

When you tell an agent in chat that you moved, it updates what it can reach: its own notes, and shared memory if you have Sokko Memory turned on. It does not rewrite the Company page, and it does not touch any other agent's files. So the agent that heard the news is right, and the one that did not is still wrong.

To fix it:

  1. Change the fact on the Company page yourself.
  2. Open the other agent's Persona tab and replace the old fact there, or ask the builder to change a custom agent and publish.
  3. Ask the other agent again.

An agent cannot edit another agent. Each one changes only its own notes, so a fact that must be true for all of them belongs on the Company page.
