Connect Telegram

Talk to your agent from your phone. Scan a code, confirm, and it starts answering in Telegram.

You can connect an OpenClaw or Hermes agent to Telegram so you chat with it from your phone, anywhere. It all happens from the Channels tab on the agent's page.

The quick way: scan and confirm

Open the Channels tab

Go to your agent in the dashboard and open Channels → Telegram.

Scan the code

A code appears. Scan it with your phone and confirm in Telegram. Your bot is created for you and its token reaches the agent automatically — nothing to copy or paste.

Say hi

Message your new bot in Telegram. Your agent answers. You are the only one it talks to unless you add others.

The other way: paste a token

If you already made a bot in Telegram (through @BotFather) and have its token, you can connect it directly:

Open Channels → Telegram

Choose the paste a token option.

Paste the token

Drop in your bot token and save. Your key is kept in secure storage, out of your agent's code.

Both routes end up in the same place: a working Telegram bot wired to your agent.

Disconnecting

To stop the agent answering in Telegram, turn the Telegram channel off in the Channels tab. That disconnects it cleanly. You can turn it back on later.

Telegram is available for OpenClaw and Hermes. If you do not see the Channels tab, check that your agent is one of those runtimes and is Ready.
